About us

ABOUT US

Paza Sauti, derived from the Swahili term meaning ‘to amplify a sound or voice,’ is a project initiated by the Orwa Ojodeh Foundation.

Our mission is to transform written content into narrated formats, reaching communities and individuals with limited or no internet access, as well as those who are unable to read or write. In essence, we bring written words to life through narration, ensuring that vital information reaches everyone.

We deploy portable recording booths to hard-to-reach areas throughout East and Central Africa. In these locations, narrators produce content from various sources, including existing literature in the local dialects of the targeted communities, and are finally uploaded into mini solar powered audio players for distribution.

Our three step process

Identify Content Gap

Paza Sauti focuses on bridging the gap in information access by targeting communities in East and Central Africa with limited internet connectivity and literacy rates. We identify areas where traditional means of information dissemination fall short and where audio narration can make a significant impact.

Paza Sauti Narration

We collaborate with a network of recording studios and deploy portable recording booths to bring the production process to remote areas. Collaborating with local narrators, we produce content from existing material in the dialects that resonate with the local population, ensuring accurate and relevant content. This personalized approach helps in effectively conveying information.
